DJ

Deejay Virus (aka Sandro Filipe Chande). He was born the 14th of December of 1983 in Lisbon (Portugal), is a DJ and african music artist. His knowledge and talent in African style come from his roots from Mozambique. At the age of 10 he discovered his passion for music. Every day he listened to various musical styles and was always focused to all the songs that he would hear on radio stations. 

At age of 15 his cousin bought a professional sound system with a mixer, the fascination immediately started and he began to pay more attention to the music mixed by his cousin who at that time still used vinyl. Whenever he had the chance to, he took every opportunity to be a part of his cousins work. Thats how the passion to the art of DJ started.

Dj Virus began working on new songs and mixes. He would ad new beats to his favorite songs, a little later he was able to produce his own music. Soon with the help of some friends, Dj Joca Moreno and Joao Reis he had the opportunity to put his talent in display at first live performance at the disco Kandando in Lisbon (Portugal). From there he was invited to play at numerous famous clubs like Luanda, Convento, Kandando, Kudissanga, etc in Lisbon. In 2009 he moved to Switzerland where he kept playing music styles at the time almost unknown like Kizomba, Semba, Kuduro, Afrobeat. At first in some small clubs where he had to proof his value even being in a different environment to what he was used to. Through cooperation with respected artists such as Group Kassav, Gil Semedo, Rei Helder, Kaysha, Nelson Freitas, Anselmo Ralph & Nellson Klasszik, DJ Virus created his own style of music, often called «Feeling». Back in 2009 he founded with Angelo Mendes Fortes, the «Shumi Love Entertainment» and began to create their own party label in Switzerland and beyond borders. A highlight of his career was winning as runner up in the contest for the SMA DJ – SWISS Music Awards 2013 with his mix «Feeling Vol1» a mixture of Deep & Soulful House Afrobeat entering into new musical ground.
In Switzerland he definitely is part of elite Kizomba community. And now also starts to stand out in the music scene of House music.

Recently he participated in several concerts and performances on stages in front of thousands of music lovers at various international festivals. Some of them: Afro-Bailar (CZ), Sensualdance Madrid (ES), Bamuluka Prague (CZ) ,Salsa Festival Switzerland (CH), Rome Kizomba Festival (ITA), AfroLatin Geneve Congress(CH).
