UMBERTO NOCITA

INSTRUCTOR

Umberto Nocita is a musician and dancer. Born in 1986, he had his first contact with the music at a very early age. When he was 7 years old, he listened for the first time a disc by Tito Puente and he was so fascinated by the latin rhythm that he started learning and practicing music as much as possible. When he was 15 years old, he had his first concert in a salsa congress and when he saw so many people dancing was the moment that he realized, without giving up playing, that he found his other great passion that nowadays has become his way of life.

Through the years he has studied and worked with the the most important musicians, dancers and artists around the world. Each and everyone of them has left (and still today they continue to do so), a mark in the development of Umberto and have contributed to the creation of his unique style. His interest and passion for the latin music made him explore a lot of different dance styles, creating a lot of choreographies, participating in several dance competitions and performing in the biggest stages of the world.

Currently, Umberto is a professional dancer and lives in Paris and travels around the world showing his passion for dance. In the musical area, he is conguero in one of the most beloved salsa orchestras in the world: La Maxima 79.

His message for everyone is: “Always dance with your heart!”
